New Orleans Hurricane Impact Study Area

The LSU CSPHIH is focusing research on greater New Orleans and outlying suburbs,
an area of approximately 1.1 million residents (the city of New Orleans itself has approximately 450,000 residents). Upwards of ten percent of residents in the study area (around 110,000) are estimated to have special needs.
